Market Conditions
When the housing market was booming, it seemed as though lenders would loan on almost anything, including overvalued houses. Creative lending programs were established to cater to the sub-prime market (poster child of our failing economy), complete with unrealistic values and valuation products, but it was obtrusive regulations coupled with the laxness in fiscal prudence that undermined the entire banking system and led to further government intervention and bank bailouts, leaving many to believe that the bottom is falling out of the market simply because there was not a clear picture of real market conditions.
